Christmas Tree Sandwiches – My Fussy Eater

Make these deconstructed Christmas Tree Sandwiches, perfect for a festive inspired lunch or even as starters for the kids on Christmas Day!

If you are looking for some fun Christmas food to make for kids then try these Christmas Tree Sandwiches.

They look quite special but it’s basically just a deconstructed cheese and ham sandwich!

Start with a small star cookie cutter and cut out the middle of a thick slice of cucumber.

Then cut a cherry tomato in half. Add a cocktail stick to the cherry tomato.

Next, add a small piece of rolled up lettuce to the cocktail stick on top of the tomato.

Use a larger star cutter to cut out shapes from some sliced bread.

Stack three thin slices of ham on top of eachother (or you can use less if your ham is thicker) and cut out star shapes from that.

Stack two cheese slices on top of eachother and again cut out star shapes from that.

Add the bread, ham and cheese stars to the cocktail stick then place it on top of the cucumber slice.

Add the small middle bit of the cucumber to the top.

Then use the small cutter to cut out a piece of red pepper. Add that to the top of the cocktail stick as the star on top of the tree.

And that’s it! You have created some super cute festive sandwiches. Serve them up as a fun lunch in the run up to Christmas or I think these would be perfect for a kids starter on Christmas Day if the adults are having something more grown up.
