Airfryer Garlic Cheese & Tomato Toastie – My Fussy Eater

A delicious toasted sandwich cooked in the airfryer and packed with cheese, garlic, tomato and basil. The perfect comfort food lunch for just 345 calories.

As winter is creeping in I’m really craving proper comfort food for lunch when I’m working from home. Toasties are a favourite of mine to make. They’re quick, easy and I love experimenting with different fillings.

This Garlic, Cheese & Tomato Toastie is my current obsession. And at just 345 calories it makes the perfect healthy lunch too.

The first step is to add some light cheese spread and garlic dip to one slice of bread.

Then add slices of tomato and some fresh basil and top with the second slice of bread.

Add to the airfryer and spray with some spray oil.

I place the metal rack that comes with the airfryer on top so that the bread doesn’t move when cooking.

I cooked it at 190c for 5 minutes, then flipped the toastie over and sprayed some more oil on the other side. Then cooked for a further 3 minutes.

The result is a super crisp and crunchy toastie on the outside with melty garlicky cheese on the inside. Delicious!

Airfried toasties really hit different and I can see myself having this for lunch on rotation all winter!
